AGM AGENDA AND NOMINATIONS

As posted previously, the East Hants Minor Hockey Association's Annual General Meeting will take place on May 29th, 2022 in the Todd Hunter Room at the East Hants Sportsplex.

Attached is the Agenda for the meeting:

SAVE THE DATE 2022/2023 PRE-SEASON DEVELOPMENT ICE

SAVE THE DATE 2022/2023 PRE-SEASON DEVELOPMENT ICE

EHMHA will be running fall ice sessions starting the second week in September. Two sessions a week for three weeks. Cost is $120. These ice times will lead right up to the start of tryout sessions.

We will be offering U9, U11, U13, U15 and U18. We will accommodate all players interested. REGISTRATION TO FOLLOW.

REMINDER AGM MAY 29TH, 2022 - NOTICE OF ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING


The EHMHA Board Directors of would like to invite members to the Annual General Meeting taking place SUNDAY MAY 29TH at 7p.m in the Todd Hunter Room at the East Hants Sportsplex. Agenda to follow and will be posted on our website and FB page.

Board of Directors Nominations

East Hants Minor Hockey Association welcomes all members to nominate candidates for available positions on the EHMHA Board of Directors.

It is essential that volunteers come forward to fill these roles to ensure the continued operation of EHMHA.

The following positions will be elected for the 2023/2023 and the 2023/2024 seasons. All positions are two-year terms:

President
Vice President Hockey Operations
Treasurer
Director-at-large
Secretary
Recruiting and Events Coordinator
 
At this time we ask that members submit nominations for these positions to the EHMHA VP Admin, Cathy Spencer at vpadmin@ehpenguins.org. Positions descriptions can also be obtained through this email as well.

***Please Note, self nominations will not be accepted.  As per our new bylaws, the President and VP Hockey Postions will be nominated from the existing board unless no current board members wish to put their name forward.  All other positions are open to our membership***
The deadline for these nominations is SUNDAY, May 15th, 2022.

Membership meeting update

Good evening Penguins!

It has been brought to our attention that we provided the 14 days required notice for our membership meeting. However, we only provided the proposed bylaws 10 days prior to the meeting and as our current bylaws state, 14 days is required to notify our membership.  

We also have a max limit of 55 people that can attend the meeting and vote due to the capacity limits at the Sportsplex.

Due to these two issues, we will be changing the format of our meeting.  We will continued as planned and discuss the proposed bylaw changes and answer questions. However, there will be no membership vote held at the meeting.

The material discussed at the meeting will be posted on our website after the meeting. Approximately 14 days after the meeting, we will do an online vote for the proposed changes. This way, every member will be able to vote and everyone will have plenty of time to review the proposed changes. 

The Agenda will be modifed prior to the meeting.
