About EHMHA - Penguins 50/50 Rules

1.   Rules

  1. Only teams in the East Hants Minor Hockey Association are eligible to participate and receive funding as a result of selling tickets. Only parents or guardians of players are eligible to receive credits as a result of fundraising.

  2. The sale of tickets will be the sole responsibility of the teams involved. No third party seller will be permitted unless approved by the Board.

  3. All tickets will be sold through Rafflebox

  4. Tickets may not be sold outside of the province, but can be sold to non-residents if sold inside Nova Scotia.

  5. Members will not be allowed to sell their credits to another member. 

  6. Draws are to take place on the last Satruday of the Nov-Mar period in the, with the tickets sold that month (due in on the preceding Tuesday) included in the draw. Rafflebox will be used 

  7.  Results will be posted online on the Facebook page and in the EHMHA Facebook Group.

  8. There is no minimum or maximum number of tickets sold for a draw to occur. All draws will take place on the last Satruday of every month at or around 18:00 AST.

  9. If external circumstances (natural disaster, pandemic etc.) cause a draw to be delayed, the updated date and time will be posted to the Facebook page as soon as it can be arranged. 

  10. If contact with the winner cannot be made as per the information populated on the ticket within 90 days, a second draw will take place with the original tickets (minus the first ticket drawn). We are using a random number generator through the Rafflebox platform to select the winner.  

  11. This will be the primary fundraising initiative for all East Hants Minor Hockey Teams. Corporate sponsorship is still permissible as long as it follows guidelines set out in the EHMHA Fundraising Policy. 

  12. EHMHA will track and disburse all lottery winnings. A fee of 2.13% of overall winnings will be paid to Service NS - Alcohol, Gaming Fuel and Tobacco within 30 days of the current year license expiry along with the Ticket Lottery Report completed by a member of the Board.
